Farmers' Market |
"Farmers' Market"
The one in Torrance is open every Tuesday and Saturday at 8am every week. JB and I used to go there often on Tuesdays before he started going to preschool. This past Saturday, I went there to look for some fresh ingredients with Chef JB.
His favorite things there are to sample different fruits and to go visit one of the flower vendors. So, as usual, he went into the same flower shop looking for a free flower to pick. The usual bucket was all empty, and JB started to complain loudly as a normal? 3-year-old would do. The guy kindly asked JB what color he wanted, and JB said "Yellow!" in Japanese. The guy said “OK!” and was very thrilled to learn a new word in Japanese and said "Thanks, come again!"
We bought a few vegetables and some Japanese persimmons. Before we left, we ate some popcorn and got a bouquet of orange gerberas to take home.
