San Pedro |

"San Pedro"
We went to ride the Red Car Line with AM and AF earlier this week.
The Pacific Electric Railway was the largest interurban railway system in the US. It traversed on more than 1000 miles of rail lines in the Los Angeles area and operated 3000 trains every day. It stopped its operations in 1961, and about 40 years later, the Red Car Line came alive again in July of 2003.
The replica of the Red Car makes you feel like you traveled back to the 20s. As you sit on the wooden bench, you can relax and enjoy the 1.5mile-long ride. The scenery of the fishing boats and the cruise ships adds the charactor to this trolley ride.
The conductor that we had this day was very friendly. He was willing to be in the picture with JB and also let him ring the bell and toot the horn. Usually every time we get on the trolley, JB gets some kind of souvenir from the conductor such as a coloring book.
Not only the kids love this outing but the moms enjoy riding the trolley as well. It is a secret spot in San Pedro.
