First Bite of the Big Apple: Part 2 |
"First Bite of the Big Apple: Part 2"
It was a quick 5 min taxi ride to the Empire State Building. It is the tallest building in NYC, and we went up to the 60+th floor where my husband works. We had an incredible view of Manhattan through an OPEN window. Yes, you can open these windows. Is that crazy or what?? You can see the Chrysler Building and the Statue of the Liberty in the distance. What a view that was!
We walked a lot, but instead of being tired from it, I felt like I got energized from the Big Apple. I loved watching the people and the latest fashions, artfully arranged show-windows, the street noises, the unfamiliar languages..... all of them were so exciting and inspirational to me. JB seemed to enjoy the city as well since he got to ride the train and the taxi. He also got to see lots of limousines in "New New York" (←that is how he calls NYC) and went home to the "Old New York."
